Easter Time, what's the difference?

A co-teacher of mine once said, "the only thing that malling atmosphere cannot change is the Lenten season." And it is true, as what I have said on my previous blog, "Lenten Malling", is the new version of family pilipinos celebrating the Mahal na Araw. So for us the essence of the celebration is being with our own family, no matter what the Season is. But what is the real essence of Easter? For us without it, the whole christian celebrations like christmas, sunday masses, etc. will have no meaning, which means no existence at all. That's our only PRIDE as christians, the EMPTY TOMB, which means the RESSURECTION of Our Lord Jesus Christ! So, what's the point here? The only Point is that, we should treat the EASTER season as the PEAK, the SUMMIT of all celebrations. As Filipino christians, we should bear into mind that the essence of the real celebration is the EASTER. Knowing that GOD always in our midst and always in our celebrations while we are busy with our malling, beaching, resorting, ....whatever....
